We’re pleased to announce, for the first time since our inception, we’re proudly entering an S.P.A. play into regional competition. The Cherry Orchard, we’re hopeful, will be selected to represent Lane Community College and the surrounding Eugene / Springfield area in the American College Theatre Festival. (Chekhov, we imagine, would be pleased.) The marriage of Russia’s most prolific playwright with David Mamet will surely result in a Cherry Orchard unlike anything you’ve ever seen. S.P.A.’s presentation of The Cherry Orchard runs weekends of September 29-October 21, 2006 on LCC’s Main Stage (Building #6).
